Innotech Digital has released a PVC-free banner material whose price is said to be comparable to standard 440gsm PVC front-illuminated media.

The wide-format consumables supplier did not disclose the cost of the new substrate Envirotech PVC Free Frontlit Banner 150gsm FR B1, but marketing manager Kieran Dallow said that the company believes this is "the most cost-effective PVC-free banner solution currently available." . market".

Dallow described the product as "a very viable alternative solution for environmental companies who want to truly oppose the excessive use of PVC in our industry."

The new material has been proven to be weldable in testing, although Innotech said it still recommends using customer-specific machines for testing.

"Welding is a huge benefit for our customers, because most of the current PVC-free banners on the market are not weldable and require additional stitching or banner tape, which can be more expensive and time consuming," Dallow added.

The new product is suitable for indoor and outdoor activity graphics. The fire rating is B1 certified, and it is suitable for the printing of weak solvents, solvents, UV curing and latex inks. It has two widths of 1.6m and 3.2m to choose from, and has the durability of Innotech's equivalent of 440gsm banner PVC material.
